Julia Michael Anne DiCecco was born June 21, 2011 at 0841 (that's AM for
all you non-military types). She weighed 8 pounds even and was 20
inches long. Now, she's 3 months old!
Girls are getting big. And just in case you didn't already know,
baby girl number 3 will be here in June. Yes, you heard right.
Baby GIRL! And yes, that's three. When I finally breakdown
and take residence at Butler Hospital, please send dark chocolate
covered caramels and Woodford Reserve Bourbon. It's all I'll want
in the final days of sanity.
Time for an update I think. The girls just had their birthdays.
It's nice at this age because we can away with the combo party. We
had a full house to be sure. It never ceases to amaze me the mound
of presents these kids can hustle.
I'm teaching this semester. I have to update my Courses Taught
page. Biomedical Imaging, BME464, meets Thursdays at 5PM in Kelly
216, URI Kingston Campus. Stop by if you're not busy.
We're heading to Italy in October! Finally get to go to a
conference since joining the federal government. GO BIG OR STAY
HOME! I think I would forgo the obligatory conference a couple
times a year to go to Italy once every three! Ciao, baby!
Since Gabriella just turned 6 months, it's been 6 months since I updated
the site. So first things first. New Gabriella and Sophie
pictures!
Sometimes it just feels like I'm watching a movie, where over the course
of a couple hours, the plot covers an entire lifetime. It hardly
seems possible that I have a daughter who is old enough to be a big
sister. But I couldn't be more proud!
Heeeerrrreee's Gabi!
Gabriella Grace arrived into the world at 8:10 AM September 1st,
weighing in at a whopping 9lbs 10oz. Had a little trouble
breathing at first - little extra fluid in her lungs - but she came
through like a champ. Still, they put in an IV and watched her for
2 days. The shave patch above her forehead is where her last IV
was placed, since she ripped out the other two that were in her hands.
Yep, she's my kid for sure.
Man, you turn around for a minute and 4 months have gone by. The
news is ... it's a girl. We've known for about 3 months now.
Things are still busy but good. Sophie continues to be simply
awesome. I love that kid. Maura is doing well and baby D,
part 2, seems to be progressing nicely. Work continues on the
house ... just put hardwoods in with my bro-in-law on the first floor
... about 700 sq feet (no, not the kitchen or bathroom). We'll do
the basement in the fall. Maura has her new pool but since it's only
June in New England, it's only 60 degrees. Ah, the four seasons of
Rhode Island ... winter, winter, winter, and summer. NEW
PICS OF SOPHIE!
Oh they grow up so fast.
Here's ... well, we don't know yet. But if it's a girl, we're
leaning toward Gabriella. If it's a boy, maybe John Michael.
Mom and baby are doing well and right now that's really all that
matters.
Happy Holidays everyone! And for all those not offended by someone
wishing them Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas. We had a wonderful
Christmas here with Sophie. It would certainly be enough just to
spend Christmas with the family. But this year, we have the
additional blessing of getting ready to increase our family by at least
one. We're preggers ... well mostly my wife. We've known for
a couple weeks but we had to notify immediate family, you know the
drill. First check-up is mid-January but we're pretty sure we're
looking at a late-August due date. We'll keep you posted. In
the mean time, we wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year ... I
think that one's safe.
