This series of images represents a before, during, and after sequence. The first cut is in the y-direction, then in the x-direction. The microscope shifted to the right for the last two images but you can still make out features that are in all four images. 		 News:
Recently, we have produced our first scratch (on SIO2).  More images can be seen in the results section.  From here we plan on cutting an aluminum wire and then refining the technique to where we can control exactly how much (percentage) and where we will make a particular cut.
